Another 1.4 million veterans that are at risk due to poverty, lack of support networks, and dismal living conditions.
Our mission is to partner with organizations that provide the most effective programs that assist homeless and at-risk veterans with healthcare, housing, mental health, and employment or job training.
According to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, “programs that seem to work best feature transitional housing with the camaraderie of living in structured, substance-free environments with fellow veterans who are succeeding at bettering themselves.”
Heroes Lodge provides Veterans with emergency transitional and long-term housing alternatives, as well as jobs and training, educational services, and VA benefits and PTS/mental health counseling.
The AGIF was founded to address problems of discrimination and inequities endured by Hispanic veterans, and has grown to include chapters throughout the United States. Though predominantly Hispanic, the AGIF serves all U.S. veterans and their families.
